Crabtree Wines was founded in 1979 by Robert Crabtree, who was inspired to make Estate Grown, hand crafted wines similar to those from the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Crabtree is now owned and operated by the Cane family (Jason and Richard) with a very small team that are focused on ensuring exceptional quality and style across everything in the range.

Crabtree wines are all 100% handpicked, hand pruned and handmade, which enables winemaker Peter Burford to craft his passion. The estate is grown on loamy terra rossa soils with deep limestone underneath allowing Crabtree to harness the geology of the area to create very serious wines.

Crabtree are the only winery in Clare Valley focused exclusively on making wines from Watervale which displays the unique terroir and geology in every wine they make.
